Why pay more for commercial grade Christmas lights?

We have already established that LED lights are much better than incandescent…

However, not all LED light are the same. There is quite a big difference in the commercial grade LED C9s and the stuff that you buy off the shelves.

First of all, commercial grade C9s will be much brighter. Each commercial grad C9 bulb has 5 diodes, as opposed to the one diode you get with residential grade. In fact, the residential grade lights are just a mini light (like you would wrap a tree or shrub with) that has a C9 bulb screwed on top of it.

Secondly and most importantly, you get much more customization with commercial grade. Commercial grade C9s can be individually removed and replaced as needed. Not only does this allow you to replace bad bulbs as needed, but it allows you to change colors from season to season without having to purchase new strands.
Commercial grade C9s can also be cut and fit to the exact length that you need. With residential grade C9s, you are stuck with the length that you purchase.

Yes, the commercial grade lights will cost more...but it's definitely worth it in the long run!
