June bugs are swarming…which means trouble is brewing fro your lawn…
What is the big deal? They just fly around pestering you in the summer and then they go away, right?
That is correct, but it’s where they are going that is the issue. They are making their way to your lawn to find a perfect spot to lay eggs…and when those eggs hatch you will have cute, cuddly little grub worms that will start to feed (and kill) your lawn.
Don’t go panicking just yet…seeing a June bug on your property does not mean you have grubs. All in means is that grub season will be here soon.
Unfortunately, you cannot keep June bugs from laying eggs in your turf. However, there are ways to kill those little grubs right after they hatch, before they start feeding on your lawn.
There is nothing to do just yet…we mostly want you to be aware that June bugs ARE a problem, and when you see them you need to start thinking about grubs.
We will have plenty more on the topic of grub prevention soon…stay tuned!
